Right Out the Oven

Well, guess what. We're having pork tonight. I find it funny, how usually, in the U.S., we say pork, chicken, beef... But us Puerto Ricans.. we get SPECIFIC. We call this "Pernil". What's that you ask? Well simply put it's shoulder picnic, A.K.A. PORK! We just tend to apply cultural value to it, and this is not the only case. I'm sure you'll see more examples later...

Take a look at that plate, too! There's a rooster on it.
